Mark Twain: The Prince and the Pauper

I recently read this book, I liked it so much and it inspired me this drawing. I added Knut sleeping. Oskar likes sleeping downstairs in the studio and kitchen area, but Knut likes it upstairs. Upstairs is my bedroom, a tiny bathroom and another studio area which I set up not long ago. So when I’m not inspired downstairs, I go up:)

I love sitting on my canapé (sofa) in the morning, sipping tea, drawing….

  1. What a great sketch. I love what you are doing with the sketching, Andrea! You are able to capture moments of your life (outside and inside inspirations) and this one is really quite lovely! Knut is also quite lovely there, just relaxing adding so much life to your upstairs studio!

I have to say, I love this line, “So when I’m not inspired downstairs, I go up:)” What a great reminder to us all to MOVE if we don’t find inspiration where we are!

You are always an inspiration! Thank you! Kim

  2. Hmmm. I probably read this story a long time ago but I dont remember it. How fun that you have just discovered the story and are inspired to sketch from it. Ah Knut, what a sweetheart. How fun you set up a second work space. Sounds delightful. suki
