ah a new sketchbook. a big one! this page is so evocative and fun with the ink splotches. do you have a little satchel with ink, pencil etc in it?
Andrea, did we “meet” via the big draw?? Remember Elizabeth?? I thought i met Kim in the big draw but she says no. now I am thinking it was yourself and i found kim through you somehow. that was about 3 years ago.
best, suki
Hi Suki, thanks so much for your comment, and unfortunately I don”t have a satchel, snif:) I use the little inkbottle and dip my reed-thingy into it! In fact, it was you who found me, you were the first person ever to comment on my blog “cestandrea”, and I have no idea how you got there! It must have been not 3 but 8 (eight) years ago!!! Elizabeth’s big draw came later. Then, I found Kim, and I think I was the first one to reply on her blog ! Great story isn’t it! Take care, love from Paris, your friend Andrea
Oh, how I love this sketchbook! This is a perfect first entry, too! You are right about the first page being so intimidating. Now you are ready to go and fill that big old sketchbook!
So you just take your ink bottle out and draw right there while you wait for the train? You are very brave! I would have ink everywhere! I mean it would be a mess! I can’t even keep a latte from spilling when I sit on a park bench!
Yes, Andrea you were the first person to comment on my original blog and Suki was very soon after you. This was in early 2007, for me. I remember because we were still in temporary housing after returning to the US from the UK!
I am LOVING this new sketchbook!.
Well its a good thing you can entertain yourself with drawing and sketching. Fun page. keeps the jitters down from being late.
I hope its not something ‘becoming a habit. A late train. I too found you during the big draw. Suki, Lynn, Kim, Elizabeth, who is now gone from blogland. Course it all started with parisbreakfasts and Elizabeth who found me.. then the big Draw.
Was fuer ein gluck das du zeichnest im zug und am bahnsteig damit du dich nicht aergern musst wie die anders…………
