Weird, those classifiactions on NNDB, don’t you think?
Well, let’s continue our window-shopping!
We still walk on Boulevard Haussmann, and Rue Tronchet towards the “Madeleine”. Shalimar, I always loved this name and the scent, and I like this poetic decoration.
This is one of the famous “Paul” bakeries, once a shop specialized in ivory and scute, (I just learned this word “scute”, I hope it’s correct) called “THE TURTLES”
This is opposite of the church Madeleine, it’s ERES, very (very) expensive swimming suits and sun dresses
”Petit Bateau”, very famous brand for kid’s underwear, expensive and “bon chic bon genre”, meaning a bit bourgeois
I liked this decoration in the shoe-shop Rue Tronchet, those shoes are not “bon marché” = cheap
I have still more photos for you in my bag for the next post! Take care and have a wonderful day !

This is fantastic! I would have never thought about sketching while waiting for the train. I usually don’t have a wait here as we are the end of the line and a train is usually waiting to head out. I love this poster you have found, though I am sorry you didn’t find the one you intended. I love her softness in shape and color. We don’t have posters in our stations…they are not nearly as colorful as the Paris Metro or RER! Those classifications are really quite unusual, yes!
I so love window shopping with you in Paris! It is always so wonderful to see these beautiful thing so nicely displayed, even if they are totally out of the budget. They are just so appealing to see. It is great to travel in Paris with you, my friend! Thanks for the lovely tour!
(I have no idea why WP will not allow me to use my old WP identity.)
