DRAFTY TRAINSTATIONS AND DISCO IN THE BUS

The train stopped for a long time in a tunnel, we never knew why, I fiddled around with my camera, trying to figure out how to make that flash come out only when I WANT IT. This picture blurred. I did that on purpose…

Yummie !

RER station at Chatelet – you’ll find always people in the heart of Paris, even on a cold Sunday in June,

RER STATION AT AUBER – deserted !

The sound blasted, the dancers hooted, the bus shook! – at 4 in the afternoon, they made me smile…

In 9 minutes there will be another train, so you grab a sketch book and draw a single-liner! That is great! I love this memory sketch of your RER station and to think it was missing the train which gave you the gift! Oh I hear you about fiddling with the camera, then you get an unexpected photo! LOL, that is the way, isn’t it? You just never know what you might see of interest in those, however :) A disco bus!!! So you can get on this bus and party until your next stop? Now that is awesome…I wonder if the driver is exhausted by the end of the day?

I have to say, your photographs make me long for another trip to Paris! It is such a beautiful city with so much to do and to see! It is one of those cities which is always moving, yet it remains the same – vibrant and very historical! Your sketches and photos are really capturing it beautifully!

Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

    • Kim I never saw this kind of bus before:) I must have missed some progress in Paris, I don”t know? Your question makes me smile and I wonder now too! I would be exhausted after 5 mintues of driving this thing, and not because of the driving lol…

No, it sure would not be the driving which was exhausting, but who knows maybe this is a disco loving driver and he/she just gets up from time to time and joins the riders in their partying! I can’t imagine, but then…..

  2. What a fun trip thru Paris with you. I am always amazed at how TAUPE the City buildings look except for the pops of color here and there and in the windows. Not Beige but Taupe.. the buildings have a pinkish cast. Great quick sketch. I cant figure out how to make the Flash come out WHEN I want it to. I know how to make it not flash. Thanks for the tour. :) )

    • Hello Cris, Paris is TAUPE :) I like that. And yes, it looks even more taupe when the sun is not there. With the sun, it becomes more beige….20 years ago, when they hadn”t yet done all that work on the houses Paris was dark taupe! Nowadays it has been getting lighter and lighter :)
