Square "Tolstoi" – view from a bench
Every morning I get some exercise in the fresh air, walking half an hour and then stretching, in this little mini-park called Square Tolstoï. On Sunday, I went there with my sketchbook, not to exercise but to draw one of those lamp-posts I love. The perspective is somehow confusing… I have trouble with perspective. But I love this lamp.
Meanwhile I’m still working at two more poppy paintings. Just so you know.

Andrea, I love this sketch…and Suki is right the perspective gives it a great deal of charm. I love that! And what a good girl you are to get out each day for some fresh air and exercise. The weather is cooling down here some and that sounds even more wonderful.More Poppy Paintings…Oh, now that sounds exciting. I can’t wait to see them…a field of painted poppies!
